Abstract

In the context of the global pandemic, the global incidence of sexual dysfunction has increased in the last two decades. The global prevalence of erectile dysfunction is expected to increase, with an estimated 40 million cases reported in the U. S. alone. The prevalence of sexual dysfunction in men is expected to rise by up to 60% over the next five years, with an estimated 60% of cases expected to be attributed to sexual dysfunction. This global sexual dysfunction epidemic is expected to continue for a number of years. The present study was designed to describe the prevalence and incidence of erectile dysfunction among men aged 55 and over in the U. and to explore the relationship between sexual dysfunction and erectile dysfunction in the general population.

Materials and Methods

Study Design

This is a retrospective analysis of data from the US and the U. national registries of clinical sexual health and medical records between January 2000 and December 2017. The data were collected from clinical and medical records for 4.5 years and 2.7 years respectively. The data were obtained from a medical record database. The data used in this study were obtained from the U. National Health Insurance and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) National Sexual Health Services (NHS) and the National Health Service (NHS).

Exposure and Diagnosis

The data were obtained from the National Health Service (NHS) and the U. National Health Insurance (NICE). The data included the prevalence of erectile dysfunction (ED) in the general population, defined as age and sex combined. ED was defined as a inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient to facilitate sexual intercourse. The prevalence of ED among males aged 55 and over was estimated using the International Index of Erectile Function-Erectile Function scale. The prevalence of ED among men aged 45 and over was estimated using the International Index of Erectile Function-Erectile Function scale. The prevalence of ED among men aged 55 and over was estimated using the International Index of Erectile Function scale. The prevalence of ED among men aged 65 and over was estimated using the International Index of Erectile Function scale.

Pharmacological Interventions

Sexual health interventions included the use of medications with erectile dysfunction (ED) and the use of non-selective phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE5i). PDE5i were identified as a selective inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)-specific phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5). ED was defined as a failure to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient to facilitate sexual intercourse. The use of ED medications, such as sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), vardenafil (Levitra), avanafil (Stendra), and avanafil (Stendra), was also used to reduce the incidence of erectile dysfunction in this study. Viagra, Cialis, and avanafil were used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil and tadalafil were used as needed and needed as needed in the treatment of ED. Levitra and avanafil were used as needed and needed as needed in the treatment of ED.

The use of ED medications, such as sildenafil, tadalafil, and avanafil, and the use of ED medications, such as viagra, vardenafil, and avanafil, were also used to reduce the incidence of erectile dysfunction. This was based on the results of a previous study in the U. S., which reported that the use of these medications in patients with ED was associated with lower ED prevalence compared to patients without ED, with a mean prevalence of 1.7% in the study population.

Statistical Analysis

The descriptive analysis of the prevalence of erectile dysfunction in the U. and the U. national registries was performed using SPSS, version 13.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, New York, USA). Continuous variables were described as the mean ± standard deviation or median and ranges for normally distributed variables. The chi-square test was used to compare continuous variables among the different age groups. A two-tailed significance level was used to compare categorical variables.

Results

The prevalence of erectile dysfunction was estimated at a prevalence of 0.7% among men aged 55 and over.
